Experience and Qualifications
Licensed in both Germany and the United States (New York State), Gordon brings more than three decades of high-level complex international experience. He began his career as Corporate Counsel for a leading U.S. semiconductor company in France and was then promoted to a global role in the United States. Upon his return to Germany, Gordon was instrumental in the restructure of the Carl-Zeiss-Foundation which positioned him to serve as General Counsel of SCHOTT AG. In 2014, he became the Group General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer of DHL Group - the world’s largest logistics service provider operating in more than 220 countries with more than 600,000 employees worldwide.
Gordon’s distinguished career has given him exceptional insight into the legal, regulatory, and commercial challenges faced by global businesses and allowed him to establish a worldwide network of policymakers and industry leaders. His broad range of experience and most notable accomplishments include the negotiation of major IP-driven joint ventures, the legal structuring and successful negotiation of complex M&A transactions in fast-moving industries, and leading significant patent enforcement and U.S. class action matters. At DHL, he built and continuously enhanced one of the world’s most comprehensive Compliance Management Systems, addressing risks across antitrust, data protection, customs, export controls, and international sanctions.

Gordon Weber is licensed to practice law in Germany and the U.S. (New York State). He speaks German, English, and French. After completing his studies and doctorate in Germany (Freiburg i. Br.), France (Rennes), and the U.S. (Dallas, Texas), he has lived and worked in Germany, France, and the United States.
